Edison Prep conducts on-site bootcamps at schools throughout the Southeast.  These on-site bootcamps are often initiated/organized by the school administration, PTSAs, or a group of organized parents. They can be customized for SAT vs. ACT and for whatever duration/focus is desired! We also provide scholarship spots in each on-site bootcamp (to be designated by the institution).

All Bootcamps Include:

  • A full-length graded and analyzed mock ACT test (a pre-bootcamp diagnostic test)

ACT On-site Bootcamps:

Our ACT Bootcamps cover all four sections and the writing section from top to bottom and leave students with ample ACT practice tests to cement their learning between the Bootcamp and the ACT exam. These classes are ideal for 10th-12th graders.

SAT On-site Bootcamps:

Our SAT Bootcamp will cover all of the SAT sections (Reading, Grammar, and Math) from top to bottom and leave students with ample, real SAT practice tests to cement their learning between the Class and the SAT exam. These classes are ideal for both rising juniors and rising seniors.

  • “The Bulb” (Edison Prep’s very own SAT guide)
  • Numerous full-length real SAT tests on the Digital BlueBook app plus Assessiv, an online SAT prep platform
  • Additional Edison Prep handouts and practice materials

Albany SAT Bootcamp Details:

  • 17 hours of classroom instruction
  • 1 full-length graded and analyzed mock SAT test (a pre-bootcamp diagnostic test)
  • Includes 30 min break for lunch  each day (students should bring a sack lunch)
  • Location: Deerfield Windsor School, Guillebeau Auditorium
  • Price: $549 (includes all materials)

Schaumberg Christian SAT Bootcamp Details:

On-site Bootcamp Structure and Description

  • All of our ACT & SAT bootcamps consist of a diagnostic exam and 7 to 18 hours of classroom instruction. Students who do the best tend to do significant homework between the bootcamp and the actual test. The period after the bootcamp but before the ACT/SAT exam is the “sweet spot” to allow for ample timed practice; many students find the test difficult to finish in time until they’ve had a chance to learn pacing via timed practice tests.
  • Parents are strongly encouraged to check in with their students often after the bootcamp and before the exam to monitor homework progress. All of our 350+  classes throughout the years have seen the highest-improving person improving at least 7 points more on the ACT than the lowest-improving person and at least 200 points more than the lowest-improving person on the SAT. The amount of timed homework after the bootcamp is the main driver of that difference!
  • It is strongly recommended that students take the exam immediately following the course, while the material is fresh.
  • Students are highly recommended to bring a TI-84 CE model graphing calculator to the bootcamp, since strategies for the math section are based on this calculator that most students use. Students who do not use a graphing calculator on the test are at a disadvantage on the Math section.

Bootcamp Frequently Asked Questions

We get that question all the time, and the answer is yes. We regularly get feedback from parents who have previously done other ACT preparation elsewhere (e.g. classes of 20+ hours or individual tutoring of 20+ hours) who tell us that our one-day Bootcamp was more effective than those months of prior preparation elsewhere. The quality and experience of the tutor matter more than the number of hours in the class.

These classes are taught by Edison Prep’s founders and are the flagship service we provide. Almost 7% of the ACT testers in Georgia in 2022 took our ACT Class taught by our founders (either an on-site bootcamp, virtual class, or an in-person class).

  • The Real ACT Study Guide (from the makers of the test)
  • Students are expected to arrive to the mock test and bootcamp on time.
  • Students will be expected to put in at least an equal amount of time after the workshop in order to cement the material that they have learned and achieve optimal results. For students with lower starting scores and/or very ambitious score increase goals, more time outside of class is especially critical.
